The History of Parents Meet

Greece is very important country for our family. My father’s grandfather was Greek and besides my parents met each other in Greece. It is a very romantic and interesting story. I always like to listen to it.
It was very hot summer, when my mother with her best friend Lucy went to Greece for vacation, to see ocean and a lot of sightseeing. My father saved money with Travelocity coupon codes online that summer and went to Greece as well just to visit his relatives. His aunts were still living there.
They met accidently. And it wasn’t a love with first sight. Once father’s Greek friends showed him sightseeing. My mother with Aunt Lucy was there too. My mother and Aunt Lucy were absorbed with beautiful landscapes that they missed the last bus and it went without them. So, my father and his friends had a car and they were absorbed with girls that they proposed to give them a ride to the city. First my father mentioned Aunt Lucy. She always was light – headed and flirted with boys. And he began to make court to her. He was very nice with her. My father was very pretty guy, all girls liked him but my mother. She considered him impudent and impertinent guy. My mother on the contrary was serious young woman. And she despised him that he took advantage of that Lucy was easy virtue, but Aunt Lucy said that she just envied to her. My mother tried to object him in everything, beginning with clothes till politics. They squabbled all the time. But step by step they became closer to each other. Aunt Lucy wasn’t so interested to him yet. He forgot about her. He had conversation only with Molly – my mother. They didn’t even mentioned how they fall in love with each other. Their squabbles gradually turned into nice talks. And when they were at … my father first time kissed my mother. They had great two weeks together in Greece. He told her about the history of his family, told a lot of jokes and anecdotes. My mother said he was very funny. He had a great sense of humor. Also, he told different tales and myths about heroes, deities and hetaeras. She remembered that he told her a story about Greek hetaera – Tais. But it is details.
Today my parents live in perfect harmony and have three children. I’m the elder. This year they have anniversary – twenty five years since their wedding. And this summer we will go to the Greece all together. Parents want to show us this wonderful country, places they liked most of all and to acquaint us with the native land of our family. By the way, Aunt Lucy is still mother’s friend.
