A Beautiful Name - Tais

A year before my best friend Natalie gave birth to a daughter. First she and her husband were expected a boy and they wanted to name his Terrance. But it was a girl. And for a long time they thought about the name for their daughter. They are very extravagant and interesting people I have ever seen. They don’t like usual things and they didn’t want to name their daughter with the usual name like Kate or Jenifer. On my point of view, the first reason why they prefer uncommon names is that they have absolutely usual and very popular names in our country. I happened to visit Greece recently having used online Orbitz coupon codes and heard a story about legendary Tais, so I suggested giving this name to a newborn.
As I mentioned, they don’t like usual and habitual things. Natalie doesn’t buy clothes at markets or stores, she prefers to appeal to a custom tailor that to have exclusive clothes, drapes, tablecloths and so on. Even all her furniture is a custom – made from different designers. And she wanted that the name of her daughter was beautiful and rare. She said that when she was young on there street was three Rachel and July and four Susan. It was boring. And she wanted that it was a special name, which was reckoned of some account in the history. I wanted to make a joke and proposed Cleopatra, but unfortunately they didn’t appreciate my joke. Then I remembered that not for a long time I read a historical encyclopedia about Ancient Greece. Ant there was a hetaera, she was very brave woman and she had a beautiful name – Tais. She was a company of Alexander the Great. This name was liked to Natalie and Alex. As they hadn’t any more variants they decided to name their daughter Tais. It is really very beautiful name for a little princess. Besides, this name is famous in the history. They thanked me for the idea with giving a second name to Tais of mine. So, now she is Tais – Ethel Willard, it sounds very beautiful. And today I’m going to the first birthday of Tais. I want to present to her a medallion with engraving of her name. I’m sure it will be a great present and I hope it will protect her from different troubles in her life.
